World War II Submarine Memorial Pictorial Stamp Cancellation
On May 20, Armed Forces Day 2000, hundreds gathered at the National World War II Submarine Memorial - West for the dedication of the Thresher-Scorpion Memorial and Submarine Centennial Brick Memorial Walkway.  Honoring all of our submariners, this event was also marked by the U.S. Postal Service's unveiling of the Submarine Centennial Postal Stamps and Pictorial Stamp Cancellation ceremony.
